Formal dress on Hawaii cruise

Is this dress appropriate for a formal night on a Hawaiian cruise in March? How about silver flat shoes?

I agree about black heels, which I have, however this dress is Navy. Now what?

Oops, sorry -- I guess my computer monitor is not that good with black and blue! I still think heels, even low ones, with the longer dress, but maybe someone will have a good suggestion for color.

Try pewter, especially if you can find a very dark pair.

 

Silver shoes just stand out too much, I feel they should only be worn with very light pastel colored gowns.

 

I don't have a problem with flats instead of heels. Heels do look nicer, but not all women can wear them. There are a lot of dressy flat shoes out there.

 

Take the dress shopping for shoes, that way you will get a better idea of what looks best. Also, don't discount another color alltogether, as a contrast.
