Cabin above Bars/Casino on the Dream

I've read not to book a room above or below bars/casino, etc. But when I booked our rooms for our cruise on the Carnival Dream, we booked it on the 6th floor. I told My PVP my concerns, and she said it wont be a bother to you, since you are above it, and not below.

Does anyone have any experience of having a room above the nightclubs.. and did you notice any major noise? I'm rethinking our reservation and thinking i should move to the 1st or 2nd floor.

Whats your opinion?

TIA!

Never had a room above or below, but have had a room right next to the casino on the Sea Princess. We thought it would really be loud, but we did not here the casino a all. We have a 6th floor room booked on the Dream as well, but is at the very rear of the ship.

we were over the band at the casino and could hear them but they stopped by 1am so that wasnt a problem since we didnt go to bed till after that but guess if you were a early to bed person you might want to rethink about it. :)

This is weird, we are booked on the same cruise and we live about 20 miles from each other.:D

We're having this dilemma right now. We're debating where to book our room on the 6th floor of the Dream.

ARE YOU traveling with a family? Do you like balconys or insides or suites. What day are you traveling on the cruise.

If you like balconys they have 4 - 8A's with extra long balconys on floor 6.

It will depend on where that cabin is located.

If starboard side-- across the hall from the casino bar a band sets up and starts playing AFTER 9pm most nights.. you do NOT want to be in that area.

You also do not want to be above any stage area of a lounge.

The seating areas are fine and you wont hear nothing from there.

The kareoki bar is located on deck 6 also- be careful.

a cabin number would have helped- one cabin might be in a bad space but the one next to it might be good.

with these balconies you might have a longer balcony but will be giving up some of that space in the cabin. The sq footage says the room is bigger but a lot of that space is not usable. and there is no sofa in the room
