sparkieplug24 Posted December 25, 2006 #327 Share Posted December 25, 2006 Hi Donna,Thanks for that, our teenagers are (Boy 16, and twin girls 14) and are very self sufficient. Fortunately they went around aust in 1996 and were on the road for 10 months and this seems to have trained them well.... We are only on a 4 day cruise to find out if we like cruising, and if we do then we may decided to go on a longer cruise... I was thinking along the lines of noise from other cabins, and I hope my teenagers will behave themselves as they are at the other end of the ship.... far from us (LOL) Cheers Peter & Carol Hi Peter and Carol We never heard any noise from other cabins or even doors banging when in our cabin but I suppose it depends on your neighbours. I wouldnt imagine that your teenagers will make enough noise to disturb others unless they have a party at three am :) but dont tell them I said that wouldnt want to give them ideas. Hope you have a great cruise and Im sure you will all have a great time Donna

woolliehead Posted January 6, 2007 #329 Share Posted January 6, 2007 :)Thanks for the info on Egypt I have only just logged back on since about May 2006. We are travelling to the U.K. from Oz in April 2007 and were wondering whether or not they were doing the excursions to the pyramids. We have paid the full amount now and are committed. My hubby suggested that we go and have a look at the funchal while she was in port, which of course we did do last weekend. I was a little bit shocked at the size but obviously people keep on going back on her so she must have something magical about her. Cheers Woolliehead
seabourndt Posted January 7, 2007 Author #330 Share Posted January 7, 2007 there certainly do excursions to the pyramids, i did it in 2005 when FUNCHAL broke down off jordan and ws stuck in egypt for nearly 2 weeks and saw a lot of egypt. she is a nice ship, shame that i like smoking cigars and had to smoke them outside on the deck. dave
