Fuel Refund/Seapass query

Forgive what might be a silly question as it's our first cruise.

 

We are due our fuel charge refund as onboard credit on our March cruise.

 

I gather from reading some threads that it takes about three days for this to be added to the seapass account.

 

I want to use this OBC to purchase a wine package rather than pre purchasing and then having to find other ways to spend the OBC. Is it just a case of ordering the package on the first day and then when the OBC gets added it will reduce the balance on the Seapass account?.

 

Or is that too simplistic?
