Hump balcony or Rear balcony?

We are trying to decide between a hump, side or rear balcony room on Serenade (Radiance class RC). We have only had side balcony rooms in the past and want to try somehting different. I read that someone had noise from the pool deck while staying in a rear room on the 10th deck. Any suggestions??

There's really no noise from the pool deck--unless you're on your balcony and someone above you is making ALOT of noise! In your cabin, noise isn't an issue.

On Radiance class, the open-air portion of the Windjammer overlooks the aft balconies---so if you're near your railing, the folks eating will wave and say "Hi"! The aft balconies are much deeper than any of the side balconies. some of the hump balconies also have larger than normal size, too--look at the deck plans, you can see which are bigger.

We've sailed on side balconies as well as aft...!! We had an E-2 Center Hump on the Explorer of the Seas..

We both definitely prefer the aft! Less wind, better view, and normally a deeper balcony.. In some cases. the balcony is larger as well..:p We also like to see 'where we've been', as well as the 'wake'.. Mesmerizing!!

We weren't really overjoyed with the 'hump' balcony on the EOS... It was OK, but smallish (naturally, it was only an E-2 on Deck 7)...

We didn't spend near the time on that balcony that we do on the aft!

The D-1 directly under the port corner/aft JS has a huge balcony.. However, it is usually the first one to be booked when a itinerary is listed! Balcony is almost identical to the JS above..:)
