Solomom Posted February 14, 2009 #1 Share Posted February 14, 2009 I was wondering if any Carnival Ships have "My Time" dining in the dining room. Solomom
momofzeke Posted February 14, 2009 #2 Share Posted February 14, 2009 Yes. The Legend and the Liberty have the Anytime Dining option right now. Several other ships will be adding it soon. Sensation - 2/26/09 Paradise - 3/27/09 Elation - 4/26/09 Conquest - 4/26/09 You have the option of traditional or Anytime Dining. But you must choose before your cruise and you have to do one or the other.
stive1 Posted February 14, 2009 #3 Share Posted February 14, 2009 We sailed on the Liberty last month and signed up for the open seating. It worked out well for the nights we used it. We were able to get a table for 2 each night without a wait. We went down to dinner from 6 to 7:30 on different nights and never had to wait for a table at any of the times. martinchem Posted February 14, 2009 #4 Share Posted February 14, 2009 We also just did the Liberty, great program, I hear the Conquest is doing open dining and it should be fleetwide.
tnt091605 Posted February 14, 2009 #5 Share Posted February 14, 2009 The Carnival Liberty and Legend have anytime dinning. We just got back from the Liberty last week. We had anytime dinning. There was 6 total. 3 couples all though we only all ate together 3 nights. We were always seated within just a few minutes. The service on 5 of the 7 nights was just horrible. We could not even get our water or tea glasses refilled. We would ask and they would never return. We thought maybe this was because of the anytime seating. As people are showing up at different times and it does not flow the same. But on 2 of the nights it was just like eating in the regular dinning room. So it was not the anytime dinning that was the problem. We are not picky people and roll with the flow. They just did not care if your glasses were empty or you needed anything. My wife ordered coffee each night with desert. 2 or the nights she did not get any. When they brought the desert she again asked for coffee. They never returned. We really liked the anytime seating and hope that it gets worked out. We are willing to wait longer and be understanding to some extent with the service to keep this feature. But they need to at least make an effort. The food was just as good as the regular dinning room.

TBIRD Posted February 16, 2009 #7 Share Posted February 16, 2009 We also just returned home from the Liberty. Anytime Dining was the reason we chose this cruise over the Valor (which we love). For us MTD was a disaster from the first night. We never went to the dining room later than 6:10 and were always seated at a table for two right away. The problem was the serious lack of waiters. We experienced a 2 hr 10 min dinner the first night. Horrible service every night thereafter - wait, wait, wait. There did seem to be an adequate number of asst. waiters but they only poured water, gave bread, picked up dirty dishes - took no orders for main or dessert. I also hope they can get this together as MTD concept is very appealing to me.
