fritzi Posted February 14, 2009 #1 Share Posted February 14, 2009 Was wondering if the public rooms, - dining, casino, theaters, library and promenade were confortable or cold. My last trip on Carnival I had to wear a sweater inside the ship it was so cold. Any recent travellers on the Independence or similar ships who can advise? cb at sea Posted February 14, 2009 #2 Share Posted February 14, 2009 I've always been comfortable, and I tend to chill easily. I think it really depends on what the outside temperature is--I know that in the summer in Vegas when it's 114 degrees outside, 72 inside feels like a FREEZER!!!!! But, 72 inside when it's 30 outside feels toasty!
MDSue Posted February 14, 2009 #3 Share Posted February 14, 2009 I always bring a sweater along, it's always a little chiily to me. I tend to get cold easily though.
DEIx15x8 Posted February 14, 2009 #4 Share Posted February 14, 2009 My mom has poor circulation so she is always freezing. She will never sail on Carnival again because it was way to cold but she finds RCCL ships comfortable. Now if you typically are are one to freeze you probably do want to dress a little more for spring temperatures rather than summer but nothing like the sweaters you need to survive on Carnival. I don't know how they haven't lost more business because that is one of the main reason we have only done one cruise with them and have our 4th RCCL booked for Oasis. nlcentralchmps03 Posted February 14, 2009 #6 Share Posted February 14, 2009 I wouldn't say they are cold. I agree with CB. If it is hot and humid outside, it will feel a little cooler inside. But I have always been comfortable.
