Ocean lover 1 Posted February 17, 2009 #1 Share Posted February 17, 2009 My husband, daughter and I will be sailing on the Freedom of the Seas in April. I would like suggestions on hotels near the port. We don't have to worry about parking a car but a shuttle from the hotel would be great! Thanks!:)
PSCruiser Posted February 18, 2009 #2 Share Posted February 18, 2009 For early May, just got the Hyatt downtown with a bid of $65 on Priceline. No shuttle, but inexpensive cab.
rosebud1g Posted February 18, 2009 #3 Share Posted February 18, 2009 Ocean..you picked an AWESOME ship!!! FOS was my best cruise EVER! There are a few hotels to pick from by the port. Last summer we stayed at the Intercontinental and booked via easyclickravel. Fabulous 5 star hotel! there is a walkway to Bayside mkt and during the day we did the Miami duck tour. I would recommend this! 2 summers ago we stayed at the Marriott Biscayne Bay- got a room that faced the port..it was great to see LOS right outside our balcony door. The rooms were VERY small-not worth the price-JMO. I see alot of people on here have posted about the holiday inn- that is right in the heart of bayside- seems like an excellent location, cant comment on the rooms, but worth looking into. have a great cruise!!! sumismom Posted February 18, 2009 #4 Share Posted February 18, 2009 Just booked a room at the Doubletree Miami downtown for our 3/22 cruise. Not the best rate, since we waited until last-minute, but the views and proximity to port look great.
