Jacy613 Posted February 17, 2009 #1 Share Posted February 17, 2009 My husband and I are taking our first cruise in April on the Nor. Dawn. Our first port is Samana. I have heard many mixed reviews about this port, and we are considering goint to Caya Leva. via the excursion offered by our ship. It says it is a 5 hour excursion. My question is this - if we go and we want to return to the ship before the scheduled time is over (we aren't really big beach goers) is there transportation readily available to do that??? I guess I am concerned that we might be stuck there, and we might want to return to the ship early. Is that even a possibility?? Thanks in advance for any help. cruisingbooboo Posted February 18, 2009 #2 Share Posted February 18, 2009 Ok I've never been there but I am under the impression it is like when you go to the cruiselines private island, basically the tenders go back and forth all day long and you leave when you are ready. Nickymjw1 Posted February 20, 2009 #3 Share Posted February 20, 2009 I had read on a previous review that there was a lapse of time after everyone was there before they started going back. But I don't think it was long.
jollycruise Posted March 7, 2009 #4 Share Posted March 7, 2009 When we were in Samana the tenders were going all day back and forth. Once you get to the tender's you should not have a problem getting back to the ship.
