Rhapsody of the Seas April 28

This is the first time I've had a cruise where the ship does not actually get underway on the day you can board. Since the shore excursions offered by the ship do not meet my wishes to see both Pearl Harbor and an island circle, I would like to do something myself on check in day of 4/28.

 

My questions are: how early can you drop your bags off at the pier? I could do that then go on to Pearl Harbor. I could check in later, say 3PM.

 

On Wed, will it be possible to get off the ship at 6AM to meet a tour group?

 

Not sure if this itinerary has been used by RCL before, so I may need to contact the cruise line directly.
