Elation Question- 1st Time With Kids

Hi everyone! :) We are now booked on the Elation (4 day, San Diego, Catalina, Ensenada). This is our 4th cruise, but 1st with the kids, ages 9 and 12.

 

On our previous cruises, formal night was on a sea day, but the sea day falls on the last night of this cruise. So, when would they do the "elegant evening"?

 

Also, do they have a Past Guest Party on a 4 day cruise?

No past guest party on cruises less than five days. Can't answer about the elegant night, but usually whatever night you leave port the earliest. EM

According to my PVP, she thinks they will have the formal night on the second night of the cruise (the Catalina port day).

What night did your formal night end up? We are also doing the Catalina Island/Ensenada cruise (leaving Sunday, back on Thursday)... It's our first time traveling with kids as well, 12 and 9 like yours, and 6 and 3 as well. What did your kids think of cruising? Did they do the clubs a lot? I'm really curious to hear about your experiences... my kids usually stick together A LOT and I'm not sure how they'll feel about being in different groups!

Looks like I may have jumped the gun there... I saw your post about cruising with your kids, and then I saw you were on the Elation in January, and assumed it was that cruise that you took your kids. Taking more time to read everything, that's not the case, is it? :confused: I'm a dork, sorry!
