Video monitors

I've had a few comments that video monitors may not work on the ship. We will be on RCCL IOS. We have 2 cabins and were hoping to use it in the cabin next door while DD naps and sleeps.

 

Has anyone had issues with video monitors not working? Has anyone had no trouble with using a video monitor?

Do you have connecting rooms, or just side-by-side? If you have a connecting door between the cabins, you really don't need the monitor! Just keep the door cracked a bit, and it's closer than you'd be at home!!!

Unfortunately, just side by side. There were no connecting available in the categories we have. Last vacation (not a cruise) we had connecting rooms and that's what we did... just left the door cracked.
