Room Service tipping

Do you give an additional tip for room service delivery? May want to get breakfast some mornings. If so how much? We are on the Solstice cruise the 22nd in AQ.

If DR I'd give $5, if Card $2. But that's me.

 

The idea is to offer a bit for the extra service, and the given amounts do vary based on individualism.

If by 'the 22nd,' you mean February 22nd, I'm on your cruise :)!

 

Our rule of thumb closely follows FinelyCruising's. A couple of bucks (2 - 3) for coffee delivery, and a fiver for breakfast. Maybe a bit more if the breakfast has been ordered from the main dining room rather than the in-room (hang on the door) menu.

 

We put in a standing order for both coffee and tea with our steward(ess) right away, to be delivered every morning at the same time. (Sometimes the coffee is a bit strong so I cut it with the tea water... ;))

We usually tip a couple of dollars for any room service. I'm not sure that I've ever ordered from the main dining room though...usually just breakfast using the card.

Thanks! I figured atleast a couple of dollars up to $5. And yes! I'm on the cruise this weekend... can't wait!
