Yes there are safes and you set your code. They are hiden behind the mirror.

Yes there are. Behind the mirror by the desk; you must reprogam it. The instructions are on the wall. :D

Niether would I if the steward who escorted me to the cabin hadn't showed me where it was! There's also quite a bit of useful storage space for small items behind that mirror.
