We are going to take the water taxi to Caye Caulker- I remember reading that we need to make sure we keep track of time as the ship's time and Belize time are different and we want to make sure we get on the right water taxi coming back to Belize City and not be late:) - anyone know what the time difference is? Also once we get to Caye Caulker- can we just walk to what is known as "the split." What is it like at the split- beach area, bars, snorkeling?????? Thanks for any information. Five weeks and counting!!!!

Having stayed on CC for a couple of days.... while the island is very relaxing...it is very small and not alot to do. The "Split" is nothing to really speak of other than where a hurricane washed in and seprated a part of the island...and the beach is non exsistant... there is a bar right at the Split, but again nothing to WOW you ! There are some excellent restaurants there, but you have to rember that this is a sleepy little fishing port with some darn freindly locals to boot. Can't recall the time difference, but the water taxis do arrive and depart on time, just don;t miss the last one that will be taking you back to Belize City and then you have to remember to coordinate it with the tenders going back to the ship.
