Canuck-Ottawa Posted February 22, 2009 #1 Share Posted February 22, 2009 As a "heads up" for those that may not know, you can request the main dining room wine menu when you dine in the Pinnacle Grill. The PG wine menu "starts" at $89 per bottle (at least it does on the Zaandam). The "kids" wine menu (as it is referred to by the PG staff) starts at $25 per bottle. On our recent Hawaii cruise, I had to ask for the "kids" menu each time we went to the PG. It was never offered.

thepylon Posted December 15, 2009 #3 Share Posted December 15, 2009 So (sorry to ressurect the zombie thread) ... $7 more than their corking fee?!? What's $25 get you?
WILLVINO Posted December 15, 2009 #4 Share Posted December 15, 2009 does any one have a wine list for the pinnacle?
May4 Posted December 15, 2009 #5 Share Posted December 15, 2009 Yes, the wines on the Pinnacle grill list are pricey, but there's a nice Columbia Crest 2006 Merlot in the $40 range that's rather lovely. I tried it. I liked it.:)
garydm Posted December 16, 2009 #6 Share Posted December 16, 2009 That merlot is a good example of the price inflation on HAL. That is an $11.99 bottle of wine retail (BevMo) and your cost on HAL with service charge will be four times that amount. The "good wine deal" on HAL is their Italian wine (4 varieties as I recall) for $22 in Canaletto. No, they won't let you order it in the MDR or PG. mrsltg Posted December 16, 2009 #7 Share Posted December 16, 2009 Perfect example... Apex Merlot is $18/glass in the Pinnacle. At Total Wine it's about $30/bottle! It was wonderful, though!
