Do they have their own island? What about designated adult only areas besides a lounge? Is there a specialty restaurant where you pay a fee like Palo's on Disney?

I just wanted to comment on the Adults only question.....On our cruise last month there were only 5 kids on the whole cruise. The Spa Pool is supposed to be for people 16 and over, and the lounges/bars have 18 & over limites after 11pm....but with those kids of numbers, you probably never be around the children anyway.

Thank you so much for the info! It's not that I am against children, I am a teacher. When I vacation, I try to engage in as much adult stimulation as possible!!!

Being a teacher means you probably have to cruise when school is out, so that means you're going to have lots of kids on board.

 

To answer your questions, the M Class ships do have an adults only pool, but as with all things, even Celebrity has bowed to the parents who seemingly cannot read or follow rules, so at times they do allow kids in what's supposed to be the adult area.

 

Celebrity ships, with the exception of Mercury, have an alternate restaurant and the additional charge is $30. They are absolutely fantastic restaurants and well worth the money. We like them so much that on our last Celebrity cruise, we dined in the alternate every night.

Celebrity does not have their own island - however, they do use Royal Caribbean's private beach at Labadee, Haiti on some cruises.
