Miramar Posted November 22, 2004 #1 Share Posted November 22, 2004 Can anyone who has sailed the Diamond somewhat recently tell me what the Fiesta Night deck party is that some people have mentioned? Is it basically like Island Night on the Caribbean itineraries? Do they try to give it a more Mexican flair? (Do they not give out the plastic leis like for Island Night???) What do they do? Thanks. bales Posted November 23, 2004 #2 Share Posted November 23, 2004 Hi Miramar, I'm not sure how the Caribbean parties are cuz its been awhile since I've been there but the one on the Mexican Rivera is really fun. It really didnt have a lot of Mexican Flair. More just lots of music, line dancing, they did pass out leis, had some funny contests - primarily goof ball stuff but fun. skarletohara Posted November 23, 2004 #3 Share Posted November 23, 2004 Fiesta night is very festive! They do hand out the platic leis and everyone was dressed in Hawaiian wear. It's almost identical to Caribbean night. They even played Caribbean-type music as well as popular tunes. It's a lot of fun on the Mexico itinerary. sammiedawg Posted November 23, 2004 #4 Share Posted November 23, 2004 As I recall it is the night of Puerto Vallarta port, Tuesday?
osita Posted November 24, 2004 #5 Share Posted November 24, 2004 Who is dressed in Hawaiian wear? The staff or the passengers? I'm sailing on the Diamond in a few months and I never heard about it. How do passengers know to pack an outfit?

figmentdj Posted November 24, 2004 #7 Share Posted November 24, 2004 They pass out leis, serpentine throws, activities include Mr Diamond Princess (hilarious), Group dances and a Monty Hall type contest. Lots of music, conga line and a drink called the Funky Monkey in a coconut shell. It's a good time, but gets crowded so get there early and participate. No dress code, but the more colorful the better.
