Technically the eagle class is the voyager, explorer, adventure, navigator, mariner, however because of the Voyager was the first one and made the awesome landmark, People just started to call it the Voyager class, and now it's pretty much the official unofficial official name.

Actually, when the concept was first introduced, it was named the Eagle project. After christening of the first ship, the class of ship was named, as always, after the first ship in the class, Voyager.
