spcl4cs_gal Posted February 28, 2009 #1 Share Posted February 28, 2009 What do people wear when they take cruises to the Baltics in the summer? Is it shorts and Tshirt weather or more jeans and slacks? Thanks.
signe Posted March 1, 2009 #2 Share Posted March 1, 2009 We were there the first week in September last year - it was really cold. They said it wasn't usually that cold. St. Petersburg residents were in heavy jackets and coats. I don't think I ever went without the lightweight quilted jacket I took. I was also very happy to have a scarf to put around my head. I didn't take any jeans because I think they're too heavy (airline weight wise). I took 3 season light weight wool slacks and felt they were perfect. I feel the cold more than many people, but everyone was cold.
Mego0427 Posted March 2, 2009 #3 Share Posted March 2, 2009 My fiance grew up in Latvia and Estonia he says he depends on what part of the summer, but he likens the weather to Maine. Cool at night but it can be warm during the day. There can also be cooler days. But he says it is warm enough to swim.
