Hotels near cruise terminal in Santo Domingo?

Has anyone found a nice hotel they would recommend near the Sans Souci Cruise Terminal in Santo Domingo? We would like to stay there a couple of nights before our upcoming cruise but have been unable to find any hotels within walking distance of the terminal. For those of you who have been to that port, do you happen to know if they exist? Thanks in advance for any help you can offer. It is much appreciated.
