Dancing on the CB

We will be on the CB in May, and DH and I love dancing. WE have taken ballroom dance lessons for almost 5 years and dance several times a week. It is one of our favorite things to do on a cruise. So does anyone know how is the dancing on the CB? How many dance floors are there? Are the floors good sized? Are they wooden? Good choice of music? Thanks for any info!:D

Depends... What type of ballroom dancing do you like? If you are trained in International standard, you wont find much opportunity.... But if are happy with a rumba, cha's and other american style dances your opportunities improve.

On one cruise the dance instructors were teaching the International standard. It was difficult for us to pick it up.

I believe on my last few cruises on the CB and Crown, they had "Ballroom Blitz". They had dance lessons during the day in Club Fusion and then had a night where all of the dances were performed. Someone else may know more about this as I am only going by what I THINK I remember,lol!

Thanks for the replies. We do mostly American, certainly the latin dances. We know we can't possibly do a waltz on a cruise ship, because as soon as everyone hears the slower music they all get out on the floor to stand in one spot and sway together... no room left! Anyone know the size of the dance floors on th CB?

The dance floors on most ships are VERY small.
