kathy16 Posted March 3, 2009 #1 Share Posted March 3, 2009 Just off Nautica NZ to OZ cruise,(which I loved!) and I am looking at this Asia cruise for March 25, 2010. Always wanted to visit Hong Kong, but not so sure about Keelung, Taiwan, or Inchon, South Korea, or Kyoto, and Okinawa, Japan. Shanghai and Beijing sound interesting. Anyone especially recommend this itinerary? Kathy
digby Posted March 3, 2009 #2 Share Posted March 3, 2009 We did this cruise in 2006, and it was one of the best we have ever been on. We spent 5 days in Beijing before the cruise and 2 days in Hong Kong at the end.
Rickey 88 Posted March 3, 2009 #3 Share Posted March 3, 2009 Kathy, we too were on the Inaugural cruise from Beijing to Hong Kong in March 2006. We spent four days in Beijing prior to the cruise and arranged for cars and guides to see the sights. It is quite a city and even four days was not enough to do all we would have liked to.... We had a great time, and Oceania had gone out of their way to make sure that their first appearance in Asia went smoothly. The only negative thing was that we had to anchor in the Yangtze outside of Shanghai for quite some time due to heavy fog, which limited our time to visit Japan. You should be quite pleased with this itinerary.... (Incidentally, in Jan. of 2008, we were also on the Nautica on the inaugural from Auckland to Sydney - a super cruise!!!)
