Marriott Courtyard Long Beach

Has anyone stayed at the Courtyard in Long Beach on 1st Street? Is it okay/safe? Will the hotel shuttle take us to the port or will we have to take a taxi. It looks a bit too far to walk. We are Marriott Rewards members and can get the room on points, so would like to use a Marriott if possible. Thanks for any info:)

Post #11 will show you where it is located in relation.

I don't know if they offer shuttle to the port (few downtown Long Beach hotels do, as their business if geared more towards business people at the convention center, rather than cruisers)...

But if you are saving money on "points", then a taxi might be worth it!

The Courtyard Marriott, although located in a safe area, does not offer a shuttle.

Curt is correct that a taxi may be worth taking, if all else falls into place.

The Courtyard is within walking distance of everything - restaurants, nightclubs, and water and liquor stores. A good choice, as is the Best Western (Convention Center) directly across the street.
