I'm a first time cruiser and am booked on the

Star Princess to Alaska. My sister sailed on Carnival and said that iced tea was free (as opposed to colas, etc. which were not). She also said that drinks were free at the captain's dinner. Does Princess follow the same policy?

On almost every line, water-based drinks are included; soda and alcohol are not included.

If there is a "meet the Captain" party, some sort of alcoholic drink will be offered. Sometimes, there's an open bar (with "rail" liquor), sometimes there's only a choice of 1 or 2 different drinks.

If you should happen to get invited to DINE with the Captain, wine (or other drinks) will most likely be offered to you!
