Westerdam: 4/10/05

We will be doing this get-away cruise just the two of us. Anyone else joining us? A bit early, I know, but we're very excited.

No.........we will be getting off of the ship that day. Do you know that the week before is an Olivia charter with 1,800 lesbians and a performance by Melissa Ethridge? Should be a wonderful cruise.

Yes, we saw the brochure on the Olivia cruise and were disappointed we weren't able to do that. We won this free cruise the last time we sailed HAL, so we couldn't transfer it to Olivia. We also have to sail the week of the 11th since that is spring break week for our daughter.

 

One of these years we'll be able to go on an Olivia cruise. Would have been a dream to combine that with a MLE concert!

 

Just to be deja vu-ish, last year we sailed on the Zuiderdam the week after the Olivia cruise, so there we were, waiting to check in while all the women from the cruise were disembarking all around us. Guess the next one will be a repeat. Funny, huh?

We sailed on the Westerdam last May from Venice. It's a great ship, and we had a wonderful time. No FOD party was allowed at that time. Hope that has changed by then.
