PLASTIC in Mahahual

I will look into that for you as I have heard that there is possibly one place that uses the internet to process cards. Will let you know in a few days. As I found out they installed the telephones today but nothing works. Nothing unusual. Might take a few more weeks to get that up and running and then maybe cards will be an option. My advice at the moment is bring cash with you. At the Cruise Ship Pier of Costa Maya they have the facilities for Credit cards.

TXfirstcruiser,

What ship are you on? Most ships have a ATM machine located in the casino and/or the lobby area. My advice is to get the cash you'll need from them the night before you arrive into any port that you're unsure if they'll take plastic, as the lines to use these machines are often quite long the morning of arrival. (you can also then ask the cashier in the casino for "small" bills, as they are the ONLY personnel onboard with cash). (all other onboard purchases will be applied to your sail & sign card)

PS: The casino (by international law) will close as soon as the ship docks (or drops anchor) at any port.

I hope this helps.
