kicker Posted March 9, 2009 #1 Share Posted March 9, 2009 Just read a review by a cruiser who was promised a free shuttle by Enterprise when he rented, then found out it would cost $32. Last May we rented from Enterprise in Ft L., were given an address to drop the car off in Miami that didn't exist! It took us an extra hour to find the real location. When I returned from our cruise and called Enterprise to complain, their response was to offer a free upgrade on my next rental. Big deal - I can guarantee my next rental won't be with them! I should add, on that cruise we rented Thrifty on the return with no problems. So, just wondering, is this common practice for Enterprise? Anyone else have these kinds of problems? FritzG Posted March 9, 2009 #2 Share Posted March 9, 2009 We had a bad experience with them in San Pedro, Ca. They tried to charge us for damage to a car that one of their employees did. They told the damage dept. that we dropped the car off after hours, but in fact the employee drove us to the port in the rental because the free shuttle was busy. When we proved that we dropped it off after hours, they dropped the charges. Our ship had sailed long before the office closed so we couldn't have dropped the car off after hours. On top of that, we checked the car over with the employee at the office, and it was undamaged. That was our last time with Enterprise too. We've had good luck with Budget in many different locations.
