Tendering ?

How long does the tendering process take on average? I was looking to be an excursion for 9:30 and our port arrival time is 8:00am. It's our 1st cruise so just want to be somewhat sure. :D

Looking at the Carnival website for the Inspiration, I see you're scheduled to arrive in GC at 8:00am. Give yourself about 30-45 minutes to actually get to a tender (time will vary depending on how they move people down to the tenders). When we sailed on the Inspiration, it went pretty fast, about 30 minutes from the time they announced they were disembarking people until we were on a tender. The actual tender ride to the pier is no more than 10 minutes if the water is calm. We've been on tenders where it was really rough (they closed the port about 30 minutes after we tendered over) and the Inspiration actually had to relocate to find smoother water. But from start to finish, I think 45 minutes would be a safe estimate.

Do all the ships have to tender in Georgetown? I did a search and found my own answer..lol..they all do!!

Last week, due to the strong winds, we anchored in Spotts Bay instead of Georgetown. Spotts Bay is ten minutes south of Georgetown. Took us approx 45minutes from ship to land.
