taxi fare to Paradise Beach

Arriving in Cozumel next week and thinking of going to Paradise Beach...i am a mom with 2 teenage girls...was wondering what the taxi fare would be and if I will be safe?

Cab fare will depend on which dock in Cozumel your ship is at. I believe it was about $10 from Punta Langosta. We felt very safe the entire time we were in Cozumel and we were two young women travelling alone.

From Puerto Maya pier I believe it was $5.00 pp. We never felt unsafe with any taxi there.

and it was 15.00 total for four of us in one taxi to Paradise from the main port.

 

It was pretty cramped (my girls and I are almost 6 feet tall, and my husband is 6'3). So on the way back we asked for a van. I think they are supposed to charge us more for a van, but they didn't...it was still 15.00.

$15.00 for up to 4 people one way is pretty standard...

 

If you are a couple...see if you can ride with another couple to save half the taxi fare...at least one way!!

 

It is about 10 - 12 kilometers to any of the beach resorts.
