cjb1879 Posted March 13, 2009 #1 Share Posted March 13, 2009 We're cruising on Carnival Liberty on July 11th and would like to fly in a day early. However, prices are exorbitant for the 10th, even though they are slightly less on the surrounding days. Anyone know why this is? I'm starting to get a little worried. We're flying out of PHL and I work at the airport so I know there are several direct flights everyday. Have I started looking too early? If anyone can provide any insight, it would be most appreciated!

ab0si Posted March 13, 2009 #3 Share Posted March 13, 2009 Not sure what you mean by expensive You didn't say when you are returning, so I looked at going to Miami on 10-July and returning on 18-July non-stop prices start at $237 and 1-stop at $
Nunu Posted March 13, 2009 #4 Share Posted March 13, 2009 all i can suggest is that you get on a site that gives you daily alerts. I got return from detroit-miami in august for $136 all in. The next day it was $240 and the previous week it had been at $195.

If you are in Philly, check Southwest Airlines.....if you monitor their website several times a week, eventually you'll find a price you can live with. I fly them for all my Florida cruises and have never paid more than about 220.00....and usually can get under 200.00. Plus, they don't charge for baggage...... Right now, they are offering flights to FLL starting at $63.00 each way!!! Gotta strike while the iron is hot with them......

One stop going back. There are plenty of options how to get from FLL to Miami
