We are doing the America's Cup excursion until 1:30 and would like to go to a beach after with activites for the kids (jet skis mainly) and food and drinks? I know about the ebach in town but hear the water is unhealthy. Any other sugestions that is not to fat from the pier?

Thanks-

Teresa

Hi, I have been told that Mullett Bay is supposed to be one of the nicer beaches on St Maarten. Sorry, but don't know whether or not water equipment may be rented there. Have looked on the map of the island and its too far to walk...must take a taxi, but you should have time for about 3 hours on the beach tho.

There is nothing wrong with the fabulous beach right in downtown Phillipsburg. You can walk there in 3 minutes from the marina. The next beach down the road is the Divi Resort on Little Bay. Divi is restricting the pool facilities to timeshare owners, but you can certainly use the beach, which is a 10 minute taxi ride up the hill.
