arlee Posted March 18, 2009 #1 Share Posted March 18, 2009 I just checked the weather for st. thomas, samana and tortola - we are sailing on the dawn march 21/09. It's showing cloudy/showers most of next week, when we'll be there. What do you do if it rains and you planned tours, especially to a beach? Does the rain last all day, or does it clear up after a while? (maybe I shouldn't be looking at any weather reports)!!
The Islander Posted March 18, 2009 #2 Share Posted March 18, 2009 For St. Thomas usually it rains a little in the early am, pretty regularly, very short early morning showers and then when the sun comes up it clears up. If there are weather systems in the area causing more rain than that early am type then it can be short showers and overcast, it could rain off and on all day - it just depends on the weather system. Today it's mostly sunny a little overcast, yesterday it rained on and off. --Islander
arlee Posted March 18, 2009 Author #3 Share Posted March 18, 2009 Thanks Islander - I know it's a way off, but can you give me an idea of the weather on Tuesday (March 24)? Thanks. I thought that the islands usually had nice sunny weather!

Cruizin4aBruisin Posted March 20, 2009 #5 Share Posted March 20, 2009 Hey Islander, do you know of any tours that have for rent a nice underwater camera during their shore excursion?? Thanks
The Islander Posted April 10, 2009 #6 Share Posted April 10, 2009 Cruizin4aBruisin - you know I vaguely remember seeing one recently that did have an underwater camera but I want to say it was on St. Croix. Sorry, don't know for St. Thomas/St. John. Best bet would be to email around and see if its offered. --Islander
