8g verandah balcony stateroom question

We will be going on our first cruise Oct. 4th out of Galveston on the Carnival Conquest. I am looking at rooms. What do you guys think about the 8G Balcony stateroom on the Verandah deck. These are the rooms at the very very back of the boat that are looking behind boat. Do these have a good view? I have heard the back of the boat is a great view. Please let me know any opinions you may have.

THANK YOU :D

I love the aft cabins, I think the verands aft might have a little bigger balcony the empress as there are only 6 and empress has 8. We have an aft for our Med cruise and the last 4 times have sailed in the aft but it was the 9a's wrap. The view is beautiful, aft balcony cabins go fast, enjoy. Linda

The rooms are the same size, but the balconies are much larger.

The two center rooms on each deck are a bit narrower than the others.

The center two rooms and the outer two rooms may not have a couch, but a table and chair(s).

The reason for the different number of 8g's on each deck is because of the 9a wrap configurations...it doesn't mean one deck has larger 8g's than another. (aside from notes above)

Search the "8g" or "aft balcony" subjects and you'll get the details.

I picked 8g on the Freedom in hopes of having the ability to actually lounge on the balcony. I've read where you can sometimes get the room steward to bring lounge chairs if not already equipped. ($$ would help).
