anybody know how rough the mediterranean is?

i get sea sick fairly easily. . .last cruise i went on was with hurricane michelle in november of 2001. waves were 20 feet we were told.

 

i'm booked on the liberty for 8/1--have been trying to find out what the mediterranean is like (in comparison with the caribean) is it equivalent, calmer, or more rough (in general--not during hurricanes of course!) just need to start thinking about my defense line up (sea bands,relief band,bonine,patch etc)

We were in the Mediterranean 2 summers ago and felt that it was relatively calm. However, we did not hit any storms so I can not tell you hpw rough it gets in bad weather.

Hi Smores,

My DH and I were on the Splendour of the Seas in the Med. this past summer. Seas were calm and beautiful. Hope they will be the same for our 8/1 Liberty cruise.

VERY comparable to the Caribbean! 1-10, 10 being the WORST - I'd give it a 3.

Like any large body of water the Med can get rough but on the whole it is very comparible to the Caribean.

On both our Med cruises we found it to be very accomodating (one in fall the other in late spring)

 

You are going at high tourist season - so there must be a reason for that (good weather/seas)-
