cab fare from LGB to Long Beach Port

Since Carnival doesn't offer transportation to the Long Beach Airport (what's up with THAT???), I'm trying to decide whether to take a shuttle or a taxi. There will be two of us, and we don't want a real LONG drive either way.

 

How much is a taxi? I've checked the LGB web site and it only has costs to the San Pedro pier. Is it different going back to the airport?

 

Last, are there plenty of taxis available when we debark?

We did the taxi from LGB to the Carnival Cruise Port in Feb 08 and I believe it was $40 flat rate

Got off the Paradise yesterday, Flat rate of $30.00 from Carnival pier to Long Beach Airport. Tons of cabs at the pier, we were off the Paradise at 8am and I would say there were at least half a dozen waiting.

This photo was taken inside a taxi we were taking from the Long Beach Airport to the Long Beach Hyatt. This should help you figure out fares to different places in Long Beach. :) There are plenty of taxis outside of the airport as well as at the port.
