baby Posted March 21, 2009 Author #3 Share Posted March 21, 2009 thanks what do you mean by double veranda? scott in maine Posted March 22, 2009 #4 Share Posted March 22, 2009 Search for one of the sweet 16 with the double veranda.. 6030 is one I've sailed on Millennium before and am again this fall and I have no idea what you mean by this. Can you clarify for us? My deck plan for ML shows 6030 to be just like the others around it. Is it really different? Details, please! ;)
KiwiAtSea Posted March 22, 2009 #5 Share Posted March 22, 2009 I'll be in 6035 (the Portside version of 6030) in 3 weeks. They are the first 8 balcony cabins on each side, fwd on Penthouse Deck Six. (At the top of the Blue hull-band) Despite the deckplans not showing anything different, if you look at photos of the ship taken from outside, you can clearly see these cabins have double-size balconys. suzy5555 Posted March 22, 2009 #6 Share Posted March 22, 2009 Here is a link to a post where Napi's Mom show pics of extended balcony. http://boards.cruisecritic.com/showthread.php?t=885788 "Each of the following cabins on the Millennium Class ships (Millennium, Infinity, Constellation, Summit) has some particular benefit over its peers of the same class -- most often an oversized veranda, sometimes larger cabin or nicer decor. Not all of these differences are accurately reflected in any known deck plans." quoted from FAQ 2C- 6016,6018,6020,6021,6022,6023,6024,6025,6026,6027, 6029,6030,6031,6033,6035,6053,6048 Here is pic of 6025 on Constellation http://travel.webshots.com/photo/2146635900054958397eFZQgy I have read in the future Celebrity is going to catagorized these special cabins differently and charge more. Shirley C Posted March 23, 2009 #12 Share Posted March 23, 2009 Is the Olimpic rest. a "speciality" rest? do you need to make reservations?? I have only sailed Galaxy on X she doesn't have any speciality rest. so I am not quite up on them. Thanks Helen Yes, it is a specialty restaurant, and there is an additional charge for it (I think $30). You do need a reservation, but can get in if they have space available. It usually does book up pretty quick.
