Sapphire or Magens?

Which beach is best? I love to snorkle and relax. My husband and eight-year old daughter might be interested in water sports. We've been to St. Thomas often, but never hit either of these two beaches.

Hello Robin,

 

For what you and your family are looking for; Sapphire.

 

Sapphire has fair to good snorkeling. Magens Bay's snorkeling is poor because its a very sandy bay - wonderful for swimming and wading but not for snorkeling.

 

Sapphire has a watersports booth with kayaks, windsurfing, jet skis, parasailing... Magens Bay has kayaks and I think hobie cats. So more choices at Sapphire for father/daughter.

I was at Sapphire beach last week. It was a great place! You will not be disappointed. THere is live music and the water was warm and good for snorkeling.
