Keeping Beverages Cold?

I remember the small "ice box" on the RCCL Explorer kept our beverages cold, but did not freeze our ice pack. We had to drop it off at the front desk for them to put it in the medical fridge. Then each morning on our room service tray, they'd deliver our ice pack.

Will I have to do the same thing on the Carnival Dream?

Will the room fridge keep an ice pack cold?

I hate filling a ziploc bag with ice, just messy.

(This is for our little cooler bag for the kids sippy cups and juice boxes during shore excursions).

Thanks.

Mare

Those little "dorm" fridges generally don't have a freezer. Can't you just ask your attendant to bring you some ice for your cooler--they don't mind! Just stick a handful into the zip-loc, if you can't just throw some into the cooler loose!
