Hi there you know the 2 year old better than I do. I would suggest doing the Chacchoben ruins as they are not that far away. 45 minutes to 1 hour away. They are very interesting. After 2 to 3 hours there you can then head back to the village of Mahahual to allow the 2 year old to have fun on the beach while the adults have fun eating and drinking.

of course he is my grandson so he is perfect

Thanks alot, that had me a little concerned. My seven yr old really wants to visit ruins, so we chose the shortest excursion that still had pretty cool stuff in his eyes. As long as I can bring the umbrella stoller I will be all set.
