Sicily or Rhodes

Recommended Posts

I am looking at 2 cruises. They are identical except one stops in Sicily and the other stops in Rhodes. The one going to Rhodes is 600 dollars more per person but I have never been there and I have been to Sicily. Is Rhodes worth it? What will I see there?

You might want to visit the Rhodes website (www.rhodestravels.com) for more specific info. Between Rhodes old town and the Acropolis at Lindos, the stop is well worth it.

Have not done Sicily yet, will be doing that this spring, but did do Rhodes on our last trip, and it was one of our favourite stops. We really wanted to do it again, but it was not offered on any of the itineraries which met this years specs. Rhodes has beautiful architecture, great food, warm friendly people and good shopping. No downside to this stop at all.

What do you all recommend is the best way to visit the differant Ports, Cruise tour or Private tour if you have a number of people.Thank you, I am looking ahead for my DH & I to do our first Med Cruise. I am comparing Princess to RCL. Princess gives us an 18 Day Med w/TA, RCL we would have to do a 7 day Med with TA or b2b, for 21 days total. Only differance in Ports visited, one gives us Venice, the other we see Nice.

Definetly Rhodes and been to both. Last cruise we took they cancelled Kussadasi due to bombings and substituted Rhodes. Was fantastic. The one I would choose given a choice.
