Im looking for information re: flights to tahiti. We would fly out of the northeast. i want to know if the planes ar elarger for these flights, is there room to move around, or is it the same old cramped flights. I remember (way back ) that some larger planes had a lounge.(L1011?)

Are those planes a memory?

My fiancee is worried about sitting in a seat for an 8-10 hour flight. Any info is appreciated.

If you are booking your flights through Princess the flight from LAX will be on Air Tahiti Nui. If you go to their website you will be able to see the configuration and pictures of their planes. www.airtahitinui.com

No, there is no type of lounge on these planes whatsoever and you are pretty much stuck in the seat for the 8 hour flight. But the planes aren't that bad in comparison to other airlines on overseas flights. Video/TV screen in the back of each seat and the food was not all that bad for airline food.
