Anyone purchase tickets to the Accademia, Colloseum, Vatican, etc online?

Recommended Posts

I am planning to purchase tickets to some big sites in our ports in advance online to save time during our days in port. I know this is probably a stupid question, but since these tickets are all sold in Euros, is it likely that I will be charged a currency conversion or other international fee by my bank (using a debit card)? I know in the past when I paid for things out of country with the debit card there was fee, but I'm not sure how it works online as I can't think of any other time I've bought things internationally online. Thanks, and sorry for the dumb question!

Yes you will be charged some conversion fee, anything from 1%-5% depending on the agreement your bank has. This will likely go through as a Visa charge even if you use your debit card. For port days, I recommend people call the phone numbers and make reservations if possible without paying anything in advance as things can change on you.
