Vancouver Embarkation

Can someone walk me thru from the time your plane lands in Vancouver and getting dropped off at the pier? It was so easy in Anchorage. Picked up our luggage, gave it to the Princess people, got our ticket for their bus, loaded the bus and we were whisked away to Whittier for boarding the Sapphire. Very easy. Thanks!

FYI If you're thinking of booking a transfer and wonder how much you should pay. The cab fare from the airport to the cruise terminal would run you about $35-$40 Canadian dollars. Vancouver airpot is pretty small and easy to get around.

Have a wonderful cruise!

If you use US Direct (check to see if your airline participates by following the link given by Putterdude), then before you board your flight to YVR put your cruiseline luggage tags on your bags. When you land in YVR, your bags are taken off the plane and sent to the pier for you - you don't have to do anything. When you get off the plane, follow the signs for US Direct which will allow you to bypass Canadian immigration and take you directly to the transfer buses which will be sealed for transit to the pier. When you arrive at the pier you get to head straight to check in and board the ship.

If you don't use US Direct, then you will have to go through Canadian immigration at YVR and retrieve your bags at the airport. Then at the pier you will have to go through US immigration.
