only four hours in Montego Bay

Hi,

 

Our itinerary has been scaled back. We'll have four hours in Montego Bay. Looking for a good beach (obviously one close to port). Had been thinking of trying Sunset, but it sounds like there are public beaches that are much nicer. Ideas? suggestion?

Well most of the nice beaches have beach clubs that require an admission - so if time is limited I would go for Sunset Beach. Did they tell you the reason why your time is scaled back?

Dr's Cave Beach is nice and not very far from the Cruise ship docks. They have a nice beach bar and grill, internet cafe, t shirt shops etc. The beach is clean and you wont be bothered by walk up vendors.

They do charge an admission fee and for use of their beach chairs and umbrellas. We have gone there several times.

Why pay the admission fees at the other beaches when you can pay just a little more and go to Sunset and have an all inclusive?:confused: The beaches there are nice and the kayaks and paddle boats were a blast. The drinks are strong and you can drink as much as you want for the $20 entry fee.;) And no beach is closer to the ship than Sunset is. You can see Sunset from the ship. And the taxi ride to sunset for our entire family of 4 was only $5 total. If you take a taxi anywhere else in Montego Bay they charge you $4 per person. By the time you figure in admission fees and taxi prices for going somewhere else, Sunset is the better choice in my opinion.

Being that Sunset Beach is an all-inclusive do get food also for the $20.00?
