krazykloud9 Posted April 1, 2009 #26 Share Posted April 1, 2009 Trock, I will be sailing Miracle in Sept and going to the same ports. Are you going to be posting a review after your cruise? I would love to read a little more about the islands and the ship(especially) since the dry dock.

ellenmb Posted April 1, 2009 #28 Share Posted April 1, 2009 Hi Trock...can't wait myself ..it is getting closer!!! Still got a Bubba Keg to get, other than that..pretty well set. When I was on Paradise Island a couple years ago, hub and I went to the beach via the public entrance, rented a chair from some locals for like $5.00 for 1/2 hour..lol..I took it...don't know how much it cost for the day..anyway, we walked the beach down to the entrance to hotel (from the beach) and were able to just walk through to the casino. We just couldn't go to the "Atlantis" part (though there is part of the acquarium when you go through the hotel). The beach and the hotel were all beautiful..:p:) Do you know anything about the deal to rent a room at a nearby hotel and get a pass to go to Atlantis? g4fam Posted April 2, 2009 #29 Share Posted April 2, 2009 I think there is.. I think its about $100 or so dollars.. I have to check the excursions.. Can you just go into the casino or the aquarium?? When we stopped at Nassau, we took a cab ride to Atlantis and the cab ride was all we paid for. Once at Atlantis, we walked through the inside, got to see the aquarium, casino, etc. They did stop us when we got to the outside where the private beach is. You have to have a bracelet or something to show that you are a guest or have paid for a pass. We just walked to the public beach to swim. But the aquarium was amazing. Great pictures by the way. Since we are only about 2 hrs from NYC, I hope to sail from there one day. Have a great vacation!
Insel Posted April 2, 2009 #30 Share Posted April 2, 2009 You probably booked after they made the itinerary change. Avril Actually Trock and I booked this cruise because of the itinerary. It was supposed to be 1 run a month or so in addition to the San Juan/St Thomas/Tortola, which we did last year. Do you have the photos of the Miracle sailing by Liberty? I would love to see them. I think, not sure, its listed on the excursions page of Carnival.. but I do recall a post, i think in port of call, that you can rent a room at the cheaper hotel and they give you a pass for the Atlantis... When we stopped at Nassau, we took a cab ride to Atlantis and the cab ride was all we paid for. Avril Posted April 21, 2009 #35 Share Posted April 21, 2009 How many more days now Trock? :D I have 17!!!! :D Actually Trock and I booked this cruise because of the itinerary. It was supposed to be 1 run a month or so in addition to the San Juan/St Thomas/Tortola, which we did last year. Do you have the photos of the Miracle sailing by Liberty? I would love to see them. Of course I do. :D However, I was on Liberty Island when I took them so you can't see both the ship and statue together. These are only a few of my favourites, I took 40 something altogether!! :o And I wouldn't have a problem with that itinerary if it was what I originaly bargened for. :) However, when you are expecting to go to San juan, St. Thomas and Tortola, the Bahamas is not only a disappointment, it seems like a cheap itinerary (costs Carnival less) as it definatly doesn't take 8 days to get there and back from New York. :(
