duckie22 Posted April 3, 2009 #1 Share Posted April 3, 2009 We are departing from Miami on a cruise in October. After looking over the hotel situation we have decided that we would like to stay at either the Holiday Inn or the Interconnential Hotel that is across the street from Bayside Marketplace. Can anyone help me with reservations? I have tried to go to easyclicktravel.com but don't think I am doing it right since I can't seem to find it. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks. duckie22 Posted April 3, 2009 Author #2 Share Posted April 3, 2009 I just needed to clarify that we are cruising AGAIN this October. Thanks
TrqoisWtrs Posted April 3, 2009 #3 Share Posted April 3, 2009 I didn't find it in easyclick either. I just book right from the website. http://www.hiportofmiami.com/
asylum575 Posted April 3, 2009 #4 Share Posted April 3, 2009 Warning. The Intercontinental is not across Biscayne Blvd from Bayside. The Intercontinental is at Chopin Plaza a few blocks south of Bayside. Definitely walkable. The "CONTINENTAL" is across from Bayside. They have gotten horrible reviews. Just didn't want you to make a mistake. BTW, Travelzoo had the INTERContinental for $99.
cccer Posted April 4, 2009 #5 Share Posted April 4, 2009 We have stayed at the Holiday Inn several times and are staying there again in July. The hotel is OK, but go across the street to the mall to eat. Food is overpriced and typical HI food which is average at best. To my the vacation does not start until I have my first beer at Chilis at Bayside.
DrCammyCam Posted April 4, 2009 #6 Share Posted April 4, 2009 The intercontinental Chopin is gone from easyclick and travelzoo. Is there any other search engines with the $99 sale going on? thx
Sea Born Posted April 4, 2009 #7 Share Posted April 4, 2009 Duckie22 -- the Holiday Inn is directly across the street from Bayside. We will be staying there next month, I have read some pretty good reviews on them. I booked directly with the hotel and with an AARP discount (yes, being older does come in handy sometimes!) our rate is $150. Good luck to you! DDD06 Posted April 4, 2009 #8 Share Posted April 4, 2009 We booked the HI-POM for 128.00 (non-refundible) directly from the Holiday Inn website. The $99 rooms at the Intercontinental have been gone for a few weeks :(. http://www.ichotelsgroup.com/
DTC Posted April 4, 2009 #9 Share Posted April 4, 2009 Priceline has them both.
eandj Posted April 4, 2009 #10 Share Posted April 4, 2009 Oct is slow. I'd wait to book and do it on Priceline if it's just two of you.
hotpinkpanther Posted April 5, 2009 #11 Share Posted April 5, 2009 You will probably find that it will reappear and disappear several times on easyclick. There's no rhyme or reason as to why this happens. Inventory control I guess.
DrCammyCam Posted April 6, 2009 #12 Share Posted April 6, 2009 thnx guys, I just went ahead and booked the Epic hotel through easyclick for 153.00. It has glowing reviews and looks very nice. (plus my DH was scared to wait it out!)
stefyo Posted April 6, 2009 #13 Share Posted April 6, 2009 We too are cruising in Oct - I booked the HI POM last week for $189 plus tax for the one night - I am going to keep my eyes open for a lesser price but wanted to book something to ensure we had a place to stay the night before.
