Misc. Carnival questions...currency and cabs

1. Does Cozumel, Grand Caymen, Roatan, and Belize accept American currency? I don't want to exchange money if I don't need to.

 

2. When you get off of the ship at the end of your cruise, are cabs/shuttles readily available, or is it suggested to arrange transportation prior to your cruise? If the latter, does anyone have a suggestion of a reliable company to contact?

They all accept american currency.... Hopefully they have change for you... bring small bills if possible...

 

There will be cabs and shuttles when you get off the ship.... don't worry about that....

All Caribbean and Mexican port accept US money. No problem!!!

 

There are usually cabs around, shuttle advise depends on which port you are getting off at. Doesnt say which ship you are on.

Most every business associated with the tourist trade, taxis, souvenir kiosks, restaurants etc. will accept US dollars. Some vendors will only give change in local currency so having small bills is a good idea. You should not have to change currency in any of the ports you have listed.

 

All Florida ports will have cabs waiting at the pier. Usually a line will be formed for the next cab, just get in line. Shuttles are usually arranged in advance.

Take a variety of bills so you have change, a lot of vendors give you pesos in change.

You'll be in Tampa and the cabs are easy to come by there, so just get in the taxi line, it's very fast.
