bthorn1108 Posted April 5, 2009 #2 Share Posted April 5, 2009 What kind of discounts, etc. does Carnival give you if you have 8 double occupancy stateroom or more. The discount amount depends on how well the sailing is selling. If it's a holiday sailing, they usually do not offer any discount. You could contact a travel agent, or Carnival directly, and find out what the group rate would be. Group rates are not combinable with any other discounted fare, so make sure there are not rates available, which would be less expensive (past passenger, senior, resident or military discount). Additionally, for every 15 full fare passengers, you will get one CRUISE FARE free (this is only the cruise fare, not the port charges or government taxes). Good luck !! firefly333 Posted April 5, 2009 #3 Share Posted April 5, 2009 Early saver was cheaper than the group rate on one of my cruises. Someone had a group going and gave me the rate. Decided to stick with early saver!!!
NanciRDH Posted April 5, 2009 #4 Share Posted April 5, 2009 Contact Carnival's group office for all the perks, but 8 cabins is the minimum for group rates. Your perks may vary, but when I booked 8 cabins for our office a while back we did get the 16th passenger free (but not taxes & port charges) as well as an OBC. It all depends on the length of the cruise and how many cabins are booked. Off season dates are better than peak or holidays for the perks. yogi2929 Posted April 5, 2009 #5 Share Posted April 5, 2009 It is good advise to call your TA or carnival. I know Carnival was giving a free berth on five cabins on the Elation recently. But then again it was for the Ensenada run.
