Explorer of the Sea Library - Childrens books

Does the library on the Explorer have books for kids? My 5 year old loves read books right before bed and I was wondering if I should pack some or if we can get some from the library?

Yes, according to the media releases that I received, the children's library is suppose to be fleetwide.

 

Please let me know if that is not what you experience on your cruise. :)

I do not trust the ships library to have books your child might be interested in. I would pack some for the trip. Reading is such a wonderful gift to share with your child. A media release from RCI is not something I would trust on this.

Honest the library on RCI and Explorer is limited. Been there.

Can't answer the library question, but wanted to say that there are many very small kids books out there. There's a whole line, which includes quite a few Robert Munsch, that are about 3" square paperbacks, which means they're light and very packable, and they are quite inexpensive. Having a bookworm son, we always bring books, in case we can't find them at our destination. We're also very, very into books on tape, which we load onto an mp3 player.

We have never used books on tape. That would actually be perfect for the 3 hour drive to the port! Thanks for the idea!

 

I've decided to take some small books with us and then give them to the library when done. Thanks for all the replies!
